Heart diseases are considered to be one of the top most threats to mens health. According to a survey, heart disease causes more death than any other diseases, worldwide. Experts label heart related disease as the worst enemy of men.

Types of Heart Diseases

  • Coronary Heart Disease- This is one of the common heart diseases suffered. Coronary heart disease refers to a condition where cholesterol’s plaque deposit disturbs the supply of oxygen and blood to heart.
  • Congestive Heart Failure- This refers to a condition when heart fails to pump the sufficient amount of blood to the different part of the body. ‘Heart Failure’ is a commonly used term for this condition.

  • Myocarditis- It is a very uncommon heart disease. Myocarditis refers to inflammation of heart muscle, caused by bacterial infections and viral fungal, which affects the efficient working of a heart.

Symptoms and Signs of Heart Diseases

  • Symptoms of the coronary heart disease- Angina (heavy/dull chest pains), pain in jaw, neck, throat, back or upper abdomen.
  • Symptoms of the heart attack- Chest pains, neck or back pain, problem in breathing, nausea, extreme fatigue, vomiting, heart burn, cold sweat, pain in left arm, indigestion, etc.
  • Symptoms of heart failure- Extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, swelling in legs, feet, veins in neck and abdomen.
  • Symptoms of arrhythmia - Arrhythmia can cause a heart to beat too slowly, too fast, or in an irregular rhythm.
  • Symptoms of Cardiomyopathy- Usually Cardiomyopathy never shows any signs, in early stages. But as it worsens, symptoms and signs of heart failure occur.
  • Symptoms of Myocarditis- Shortness of breath, light-headedness, fatigue, painful joints, small amount of urine, signs of infection like fever, sore throat, muscle aches, etc.

Researches and studies show that chances of heart disease decreases if preventive measures are take. Experts and doctors advices a number of preventive measure according to your medical condition and ages. Experts recommend different types of diet and exercise plan to make your heart healthy and sound.

Healthy Food

  • Experts and doctors recommend decreasing the intake of trans-fat, as it is very bad for your health. For this expert may ask you to consume fewer amounts of red meat, palm oils, packed food, fried food, dairy full-fat products, processed baked goods and margarine.
  • Researches show that Omega-3 fatty acids can protect and ensure the efficient functioning of heart, so experts recommends increasing the intake of food such as Mackerel, salmon, canola oil and walnuts.
  • As a preventive measure, experts also advices to increase the consumption of vegetables and fruits.
  • Experts may advice you to consume flaxseeds, as they can help you in lowering down your cholesterol level.

Exercises

Experts advices aerobic exercises like jogging walking, bicycling, jumping rope, etc. on regular basis. Studies show that such regular exercises can help you lowering down blood pressure and will also strengthen your heart muscle.
