  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups of self-rising flour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • About 1 cup of red hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 chicken (approximately 2 pound) cut into pieces
  • House seasoning
  • Oil- preferably peanut oil
House Seasoning
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup of garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup of black pepper
Mix all these ingredients together and then store. It can be stored till 6 months in the airtight containers.

Beat eggs with water in one medium sized bowl. Add enough amount of hot sauce so egg mixture turns bright orange in color. Combine the pepper and flour in another bowl. Season chicken with the given house seasoning. Dip this seasoned chicken in egg, and coat it well in flour mixture. Heat oil to 350°F in one deep pot. The pot should not be filled with more than half with the oil. Fry this chicken in oil until it gets crisp and brown. White meat gets done quickly as compared to dark meat. The dark meat would take around 13-14 minutes and the white meat would take around 8-10 minutes.
